This powerful advocate of liberty was born in 1971 in Chicago, Illinois into a family of longtime legal advocates. His grandfather graduated from the University of Chicago Law School in 1949, his uncle from John Marshall Law School in 1978, and his father from John Marshall Law School in 1972. His father Robert P. Goldberg made a lifetime of defending the poor, oppressed, and wronged against government oppression. In 1989 arguing all the way to the United States Supreme Court in the landmark case of United States vs. Sokolow, where Robert Goldberg defended against the government using profiling to stop its own citizens and violate their 4th Amendment rights. His mother Donna Goldberg became a legal assistant in 1966 and continues to work in the legal profession in Tampa, FL with over 35 years experience.

Max Goldberg attended Arizona State University, where he was awarded a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Science from the College of Applied Science and Engineering. He then set his sights on the nations premier trial advocacy school, Stetson College of Law located in Gulfport, Florida. Stetson College of Law has repeatedly ranked first in the nation in trial advocacy training, placing first place six times since the rankings began in 1995. While attending Stetson University, Max Goldberg focused his training on the criminal court system taking classes in Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Constitutional Law, Evidence, Florida Criminal Law, and Trial Advocacy.

He worked with the Polk County Public Defenders Office, was a certified legal intern with both the Pinellas County Public Defender’s Office and Pinellas County State Attorney’s Office. As a Sarasota State Attorney he handled hundreds of criminal cases. This experience gives him the ability to evaluate and examine the State’s case against you, which may expose weaknesses, fabrications, and errors. He continued his training with numerous classes and seminars, including DUI School, Advanced DUI School and Blood, Breath, and Tears for the DUI Defense Practitioner. He is a member of the Florida Bar Association, Saint Petersburg Bar Association, Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, as well as a card carrying member of the American Civil Liberties Union.

Max Goldberg has extensive courtroom and trial experience as both a State Prosecutor and a Defense Attorney.
